An important feature of our interdisciplinary course, Environment of Scotland Through the Ages, was a series of visits to environmental and archaeological sites. Kilmartin Valley, mid-Argyll, western Scotland, is the home of an incredible concentration of ancient monuments, many of which are prehistoric, and is the birthplace of the Kingdom of Dalriada, the founding of the Scottish nation.
