O
The Reading Weekend, a Beloit tradition, took place in the Scottish Borders at a Victorian manor house called Whitmuir Hall, near Selkirk. We had small group discussions about Scottish history, read poetry and prose, viewed films, and visited the homes of Sir Walter Scott, Hugh MacDiarmid, James Hogg, and John Buchan.
