ZnS Example

Names: Zinc Sulfide or Zinc Blende.

This structure is built from tetrahedral units. The pompom inside represents a zinc ion and the clear tetrahedron represents four sulfide ions in a tetrahedral arrangement around the zinc.

2. Build another tetrahedral layer.
3. Build a third tetrahedral layer.
