Cross-linking of Polydimethylsiloxane

The Pt(II) active catalyst coordinates to the RO(CH3)2Si-CH=CH2 alkene. Oxidative addition of HSiCH3(OR)2 to the Pt, alkene insertion into the resulting Pt-H bond, and reductive elimination of
RO(CH3)2SiCH2CH2Si(CH3)(OR)2 results in cross-linking.
