Elements with the same cubic close-packed structure (packing layers only) include Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au, Al, In, Pb, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, and Ac.

    Many structures can be viewed as cubic close-packed layers with occupied tetrahedral or octahedral holes between layers:
