Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables for MANY benefits: 1. reduces inflammation. 2. reduces the risk of low-trauma fracture 3. good nutrition in midlife associated with better cognitive function so you are less vulnerable to pathologic aging and Alzheimer disease.
Other things healthy to eat: 4. Eating chocolate promotes healthy bacteria in your intestines.5. Orange juice hesperidin reduces blood pressure. 6. Milk intake may be inversely associated with overall heart disease risk. 7. Vitamin D may reduce fat synthesis and fat cell formation. 8. Probiotics benefit pregnant women - Women who reported habitual intake of probiotic dairy products (like yogurt) had a reduced risk of spontaneous preterm delivery.
New concern: 9. Fish oil at high levels may increase diabetes risk.
Old concern: 10. Trans fat, not other fats, are associated with ovarian cancer risk.
